Description
Sieg Mini Lathe and Mini Mill Control/Comfort Knobs.
I was making a run of eighty five ~1″ rectangle blocks of aluminum one day and realized just HOW much my hand was getting irritated by the small diameter, sharp-edged knob.
I came up with and idea and resin 3D Printed some prototypes and they worked awesome! The trouble was getting the threads cut cleanly without chipping. Well, time went on and I discovered Siraya Tech “Build” resin. I could actually 3D Print the threads and the unthreaded portion and you can tighten it like an OEM knob.
I make them in Sieg “Machine Shop Red”. I can leave them unpainted, or do them in LittleMachineShop gray. They also work great for the LittleMachineShop/Sieg tailstock knob.
M8 x 1.25 threaded, see pic.
